My
name is Erica Singer (that's me on the left!) I am a
designer, illustrator and photographer based in the UK. I am
extremely passionate about ethical and sustainable fashion and regularly keep
updated with online blogs, books and articles related to the subject. In my
spare time I enjoy exercise including running, Yoga and Pilates, attending
music gigs, cooking, drawing, sketching, knitting and sewing.
I
graduated from Northumbria University in 2013 with a degree in Fashion Design
and Marketing. My final major project at university; ‘Canny Clothing’, focused
around sustainability and supporting local areas by creating lifelong
relationships between customers, communities and products. I was shortlisted
for the Ethical Award at Graduate Fashion Week 2013 and received positive
feedback from various ethical brands and spokespersons.
Over
the past 8 years I have worked for both large and small companies within the
fashion and lifestyle sector including Whistles, Griffin and THE WHITEPEPPER. I
hope to eventually undertake a Masters Degree in Sustainable Fashion and make a
positive contribution to educate others in the future of the fashion industry.
